The Sun God reaches his peak of power. The god is praised and honored as the embodiment of the land. Soon the bounty will be reaped. The fruition of the land is celebrated.

Some ways to observe Litha: 

Decorate the altar with a solar wheel or other sun motifs, using shades of yellow and gold.

Add sunflowers, marigolds, or other plants that resonate with the sun.

• Greet the sun as it rises.

• Bless newly-harvested herbs. 

• Light a bonfire (or gold and yellow candles). 

• Make beeswax candles.

• Serve honey cakes or other sun-related foods.
